About
History
The Organizational Architecture Standard was conceived in 2024 by Andrey Mikhailovich Torlopov as a response to the growing need for machine-readable organizational models in the age of autonomous AI systems.
The first draft was published in early 2025 after extensive research into enterprise architecture frameworks, formal methods, and ontology engineering. The project quickly attracted contributors from the architecture, software engineering, and AI governance communities.
OAS v1.0.0 was released in January 2026, marking the first stable specification with Foundation, Semantic, and Reference layers.
